junior 3k & 1.5k
date: saturday 5th october 2013
start time: the 1.5k will start at 2pm. the 3k will start at 2.30pm.
price: there are various entry options, please click here to be taken to them. entries may close early if the race reaches entry capacity. please note: if you are a parent entering a junior race on behalf of your child, please create a my details account in your child's name. if you are entering more than one child, you would need to create a separate my details account for each child. you can use the same email address for each child but would have to use a separate password for each.
route: starting and finishing near the bournemouth marathon festival hub in the lower gardens, this beautiful coastal route takes in the bournemouth pier. it's a great race for kids of all ages.
age limit: runners aged 6-10 will run 1.5k and runners aged 11-14 in will run 3k.
entry benefits: each junior runner will receive a wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing, great medal, results posted on their my details account within 48 hrs, race recovery pack and a fantastic running experience.
bournemouth & poole schools competition: it's a fantastic opportunity to run as part of a team and represent your school. schools with at least 3 boys or 3 girls entered to any junior race will automatically be entered into the competition. there will be a trophy and prize for the top school. for full information please click here.
event chip timing: timings for all junior runners will be recorded using a chip timing system - your timing chip will be embedded into your running number.
baggage: there will be a baggage drop off point available for runners at the start/finish area. this will be clearly marked in your final details documents and signage will guide you there on the morning of the race.
photographs: our official race photographers are marathon photo. you will receive a link to their website following the race.

in the interest of safety: the race director and the emergency services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. these would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.
